Seidelberg turned red during the month of June as they extended a warm welcome to Lions supporters wine tasting around their test matches.
Lively, vibrant and donning red jackets they provided a much needed boost to all of us on the farm.

It was happy Independence Day and honeymoon celebrations that brought Robert & Ellen to Seidelberg wine estate.

Deirdre hosted a detailed tour through the cellar. Little is happening this time of year but seeing the equipment involved gives a great insight into what goes into a bottle of wine.
The apprenticeship takes around seven years to reach the skill level required to make these individual pieces!
Living in Nigeria and working in the UK we are happy they chose Cape Town as their honeymoon destination.

“I can’t believe how much goes into making a bottle of wine” exclaims Christof. Now hooked on learning more about wine he said he would be signing up for a wine course when he returns home.
“It was always my long term vision to farm here” recalls Roland. During the 1980’s he worked in Johannesburg for three years which is when he knew his future home would be South Africa. With an uncle making wine in Germany, a wine farm in the Cape was the obvious choice for his new venture.
“We were looking for a lifestyle change and a beautiful place to display our work to the public” explains Elizabeth Jackson, artist and owner of the glass art studio.
