Celebrate the World Cup & New Wines together with us !

All wines from 2010 are out of the ferment now and we are proficient at filling! Significantly lower temperatures and the color of the vineyards announce the winter and the vineyards will lose the bulk of the foliage over the next four weeks.
The new wines look very promising. The first are already labelled and shipped-as for example-the Seidelberg Rosé is already served on the SAA-which is a great success-and the reorder is already running through the labelling machine. Now we are assembling our new wines and this year we will present our white and red “Cape Blend”. The white wine will be based on Chenin Blanc / Viognier, Pinotage and something that we have vinified as white wine - very exciting! The red wine is of course based on Pinotage - the assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon and …..we do not want to reveal it yet! We will introduce both wines in the second half of the year and offer them in a test-package.
Furthermore, we are pleased to present you while you are visiting us next time our new bakery-offer, which will complement our gastronomic offer at the farm. We will offer freshly baked German breads every morning made from the finest ingredients available. We offer a variety of Gourmet bread rolls, Farmers Breads & Country Loafs, Bagels, Danish pastries and much more. Guest can experience a cozy bakery atmosphere where people can gather with friends, taste some delicious bread while sipping on freshly made Italian coffee.
Now we have also tasty pretzels - and for “incorrigible” in June and July also draft beer for the World Cup time. The World Cup excitement in the land rises significantly and even hard-bitten rugby fans look at the sports channels in order to mood for the World Cup weeks. We will broadcast all the games at out De Leuwen Jagt restaurant. We will offer traditional German meat loaf and sausages, served with freshly baked German bread. Laduma Mzansi - !!! We are well prepared for the World Cup!
The airlines and hotels have noticed that the consumer cannot be blackmailed - and so prices drop and we more often hear about “late bookings” … that is why we are confident about the World Cup and South Africa being well attended. We can look forward to the great sporting spectacle and I hope that you will cheer and celebrate … hopefully accompanied by a bottle Seidelberg or De Leuwen Jagt.

Thanks a lot for the update guys. I am really looking forward to taste your new vintages. Always an exciting experience. I always enjoyed your Pinotage. But I must admit that your Rolands Reserve Pinotage is a little bit too heavy for me in my opinion. 5 star for the Seidelberg Pinotage 2007. Unique, different and tasty. Just Wow-100% my style! Keep on with the hard and good work. Greetings from Germany!

@ chrisian: jep, I agree to certain extent. well, seidelberg always surprises me with new styles like the de leuwen jagt merlot malbec. i tried the 2008 the other day and I was very impressed. a fruity easy drinking red, with full nose of dark berries, a hint of coconut and elder fruit. what I like about the wine is that its dry but you don’t get the feeling your mouth is full of tannins. lekker wyn en mooi uitsig! by the way great service at the wine centre as well. BAIE BAIE DANKIE !

I think the Reserve Range is quiet heavy in general, but I enjoy these wines once in a while. They are cerainly not for everyday drinking. I am looking forward to tasting your new 2010 collection.
I also like that you draft beer for the soccer games, wine is really not the right choice for whatching a game, it´s only for the “incorrigible” who want to drink wine everywhere, everytime. Every great winemaker should be able to enjoy beer !
Cheers

starting to store some Seidelberg Sparkling wine in the fridge for the last three games of Germany ! What´s your recommandation for celebrating the new Soccer world champion ? Maybe I will order some de Leuwen Jagt Rosé to have some more variety.
