WORLD CUP 2010 FEVER

WORLD CUP 2010 FEVER
With the 2010 Fifa-World Cup taking place in our beautiful country right now, and as we move closer to the finals, there is a feeling around the Western Cape that gets to everyone. It is called “Soccer Fever”! We at Seidelberg, have put a lot of preparation and hard work into our Tasting Room as well as into the De Leuwen Jagt restaurant. We have decorated the Estate with flags, Vuvuzellas, big playing schedules as well as Makarapas to give all our international guests the feeling of a warm South African welcome. To ensure that all our guests can spend the day on our farm without missing a single World Cup match, we installed a big flat screen TV into our De Leuwen Jagt restaurant. We will be showing all of the games live in the main section of the restaurant. When the opening of the WC came closer, you could feel the excitement in the air. All our Seidelberg team members joined together for an exciting evening of anticipation and hope before the very first World Cup kick off on African ground.
The World Cup Soccer Night events are fun-filled with traditional German food like Leberkaese, Sausages and Salads. Our guests can cool down their Soccer Fever with some delicious fresh draft beer, enjoy a tasty wood fired oven Pizza or a flame grilled Beef Seidelburger while they experience the excitement of their first glance of the soccer matches. Our tasting room has seen a steady increase in high spirited
international guests over the past few weeks. You could see the
excitement in their faces and the feedback that we got so far in terms
of their South Africa experiences , here in the Western Cape and up in
the Northern Provinces, were all very positive stories, which can make
us all very proud. They have also had very good things to say about our
South African wines!

| Another very exciting moment of this World Cup Life - Jürgen Klinsmann,
German football manager and former football player and who managed the
German national team to a third-place finish in the 2006 World
Cup/Germany, visited our farm. The owner of Seidelberg Wine Estate,
Roland Seidel, entertained Jürgen Klinsmann, Folrian König (German
sport reporter and commentator of all World Cup Matches at on one of
the most popular German private TV-channels, RTL) and friends
throughout the day. He guided the cellar tour to explain the
intricacies of the winemaking process, sampled our award winning wines
in the cosy underground VIP-tasting room to quench the thirst for
knowledge and finished the afternoon with some cold snacks from our
Deli Counter in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
All in all a
memorable Seidelberg afternoon.
As you can read, those) 4 unforgettable weeks of the year are unique
and moments will be shared where everyone will be emotionally truly
connected in the football spirit.
Even for non-football fans it is
definitely worth it to come around and have a look and get into the
Ayoba-feeling at Seidelberg. By the way, look out for the 33 barrels on
top of our pergola!!!

WINE PROMOTION @ VAUGHAN JOHNSON

WINE PROMOTION @ VAUGHAN JOHNSON
Wine is an experience as we all know;, an experience you should share also with others and especially with our current World Cup visitors from all over the world. And where is the boiling point where all national and international visitors gather together in Cape Town? At the V&A Waterfront. Therefore, our highly trained Wine Consultants are doing some Wine
Promotions at Vaughan Johnson Wine Shop. Owned by Vaughan Johnson, who
has over 30 years experience selling fine Cape wines to Cape Town's
thirsty wine lovers, and has more than 5000 South African wines
available.

|
This well, pre-selected offering of locally produced wines, represents
a good cross-section and certainly does not make it easier for wine
drinkers to find their wine of preference!
For this reason we decided
to send our friendly and very well knowledgeable Seidelberg staff to
Vaughan’s shop on a regular basis to promote our wines and to make the
choice easier for the customers. We are presenting a selected range of
our wines, for example, one of our most popular wines sellers on the
Estate, the Seidelberg Shiraz. A complex wine which shows flavours of
spicy cloves and a hint of pepper on the nose with dark berries and
stewed fruits on the palate. For our wine lovers, who like it a little
bit sweeter, you should taste our De Leuwen Jagt Golden Harvest, a
charming semi-sweet wine with tropical fruit salad flavours. An ideal
food companion for curry or spicy dishes.
Come around and pop in at
Vaughan Johnson Wine Shop, we’d love to hear what you think about our
wines. For all the guests from overseas who are interested in ordering
our wines instead of carrying them all the way back home, you may
contact our European direct distribution channel Hellavine.

The Fabulous Bakery
 Bakery
Forquite some time, we have been thinking about exploring new offerings on our farm to compliment the already established general restaurant business as well as the Daily Deli Counter. A bakery was a perfect addition to the other offerings. We wanted to establish a bakery which fits exactly into our farm concept – our goal: to provide our local customers with classic German breads and French patisseries, and achieve consistent top quality. Breads, which we make and sell ourselves throughout the day, and
present in a warm, friendly and cosy atmosphere. - The Fabulous Bakery
was born. On the 19th of June this year Seidelberg’s Fabulous Bakery was official
opened and our simply recipe is proving to be a great success and is
gaining in popularity daily! By baking all our products each day, our
farm-style store is filled with the delicious smells of freshly baking
breads all day.
|
|
All our products are made from the finest ingredients – German spring
water and German wheat has been used to make the breads, to ensure a
unique taste experience, as well as to guarantee food quality of the
highest standard. From Croissants, Bread Rolls and Pain Au Chocolat to
Danish Pastries, Farmer’s Loaf, Traditional French Baguettes and Olive
Ciabatta. Our products are meant to bring a new bread experience to
you at Seidelberg and into the winelands.
If you are fortunate enough to pass through the Paarl wine region, stop
by at our De Leuwen Jagt Restaurant at Seidelberg Wine Estate and let
our smiling staff help you to choose from our selection of delicious
goodies.

Take a moment out of your day and visit our bakery. Sit next to the
fireplace and be surrounded by the delicious smells of our Fabulous
Bakery, while you enjoy a superb cup of Italian coffee.
We look forward to welcoming you soon! For more
